Disney Main Street Electrical Parade

November 30th, 2009 Mickey Leave a comment Go to comments

Footage of the Disneyland/DCA electrical parade was shot on May 28th, 2006. To achieve the best sound quality, I used the original soundtrack (with a slight modification to reflect the fact that the parade is no longer shown on Main Street). Enjoy! … Disney Disneyland Main Street Mainstreet Electrical Parade

I know this is not a very family friendly or Disneylandish thing to say but when I was a teenager my friends and I eat a hand full of magic mushrooms and watched the Electric Parade with wide eyes. OMFuG!! Electronic music and blinking lights!!

I wish they kept the ORIGINAL DEP. And didnt change the beginning to tinkerbell and made it sound more techno. I have the VHS of this somewhere around that I used to watch as a kid.

I like Disneyland and grewing up went there yrly it was just a 2 hr drive. I’m glad they brought back the electrical parade, they made a mistake retireing it back in 1996. I just wish it had been put back on Main Street instead of Calif Adventures. Last time I was at the park before i moved to colorado they had taken out the Bear Jamborie show. that was a favorite of mine.

Walt Disney had a dream that he shared with millions of people both with the park and his movies. Yet everyone has their own version and opinion of what the dream may mean and now that Walt is gone. If thoses that worked for him don’t stay true to what his vision and dream was, it changes things and what made it so spiecal in the first place.

I don’t think you get it. Walt Disney’s dream is very much alive. If it would have died then there wouldn’t be any disney parks left and no new disney movies would be created

Walt Disney should have never axed this from Disney World in Orlando. The Main Street Electrical Parade was the cornerstone of what Disney stood for and now it’s gone. This sole reason is the reason why Walt Disney’s dream died a long time ago. The company has forgotten what Walt stood for any no one can ever bring that back.

Hey Thanks flowergirlinWard17! I appreciate the feedback, and I’ll look out for that one! However, the intro/finale voice overs are what makes this stand out to me as a childhood favorite! I’ll have to keep hunting!

Hi! If you can find it, the cd for “Fantasmic!” does have a slightly shortened version of the “Electrical Parade” soundtrack on it, including the intro and finale. It is minus the voice-overs found here, but the sound is good.

Where did you find the long version of the original soundtrack? I gotta know! I’ve been looking for this since my ‘Sounds from the Park’ cassette from 1982 became completely warped!

Sounds an awful lot like someting from Mike Jittlov’s work.. and as I recall from some of his verbal notes on “The Wizard of Speed and Time” soundtrack, he was involved in the music part of it.
