This was the early ABC opening. The program wasn’t in color until the move to NBC.

Wasn’t there a Technicolor version of this intro? Or similar?

because that was the movie. it was made in color so that the theaters could project it in color.. most people had black and white t.vs back then even though color tvs starting coming out.. this is in black and white so it could suit the needs of the people with black and white tv.. this wasnt shown during the movie.

from what i understand, films started having color in them long before television did. also, black and white was considered to have already been “perfected” while they were still working out the kinks with color technology.

I don’t understand? all the songs and liek tink and that were in colour, Peter Pan was in colour so why when disney land opens its in black and white?! They had colour, cause if tink is there then Peter Pan must have already been done, Im confused!

I have many of these on tape, probably 200-300 episodes from all the variations of this show.

We can lobby Disney to put the old classic shows back on even if late at night. I’ll get a contact email address and we can start a campaign. It worked before.

One of the episodes i watched was where donald persuades Walt to be the master of ceremonies. I think it was called Your Host, Donald Duck.

Remember, Disney has been little more than a marketing company since the late 90’s.
When Roy was kicked out, so to was most of the quality.

The only problem you’ll have is having only one set in the living room, a few siblings or parents who might not wanted to watch what you wanted, and only a few channels on the dial. Yep, those seemed like simple times.

This is so far superior to the crap shown on the Disney Channel now! But I can’t complain to much as my stepdaughter works for The Mouse. Oh well.

You’r so damned right. Movies and cartoons from 1940 to mid 1960 consisted of a spice called macic. Today they’r spiced with crap…sadly but truly. Remember those comiccooks from late 50ths and early 60ths…wow

Crap is right, we decided to get rid of the station.

I wish the Disney channel would bring back alot of their shows instead of putting up the crap we see on there today.

I wish they used that “many worlds” quote in the modern intro instead of the “started by a mouse” quote.
